Teresa used to be very introverted and shy due to her homeschooling and her sheltered life. When she came to Camp Half Blood, she became a little more extroverted; however, after Syria's death she became very closed off and easily angered. After four years, she became the person she is today.

Now, Teresa can be very patient with those who have the courtesy to do the same; however, if she has a very rocky relationship with someone, she will treat them with neutral feelings. Ever since her stepmother [Alani] has entered her life, she has begun to be more forgiving of those she has a bad relationship with. She does not have a vengeful streak against anyone, mostly because she does not follow her mother's [Nemesis] ideals. Although she is vain it is all a ruse so she keeps her confidence in herself high. Sometimes, she can be too relaxed when it comes to stressful situations, this is a way to make sure she does not panic and does things that she regrets. She tends to be very balanced when it comes to her life and her schedule, and relies heavily on her emotional support from friends and family.

Ω History

Teresa comes from O'ahu [The Gathering Place] where she lived near Waikiki Beach. She lived a very sheltered life and was homeschooled privately. She wasn't as close with her father growing up in O'ahu, due to how disconnected their interests were. She had no relationships to the children in her neighborhood due to her introverted nature. Her only friend was Syria, who was very patient with her personality.

Her life began to heal when her father married a tattoo artist named Alani, a relaxed woman who followed the Hawaii practice of forgiveness called Ho'oponopono. She began to help Teresa slowly become more extroverted and forgiving of others. Once Alani felt Teresa was ready, her father then told Teresa the truth about where she came from. Teresa took time to accept her beginnings, with Alani and Syria's help she began to understood where this would lead her.

Syria eventually revealed her role as not only a satyr but also as Teresa's protecter, bringing her to Camp Half Blood with the permission of Teresa's father (who was aware of Syria's role). Teresa was then claimed and put into Nemesis house, 3 months after her arrival. Teresa stayed close to Syria at Camp Half Blood, and eventually Teresa began to blossom into a friendlier person. Syria eventually left to go and find another demigod to protect, a month later, word returned to Teresa that Syria did not report back, rumored being killed.

Teresa [age 14] began to become more hostile and protective, beginning to lash out at anyone who approached her in attempt to hide her feelings about her friend's death. Her real mother, the goddess Nemesis approached her, and ever since then Teresa does not talk about her. Teresa still keeps quiet about what exactly they talked about, and pretends as if her mother doesn't exist. After four years, she has eventually stopped blaming herself for Syria's death and is far more extroverted than she once was. She is still sensitive over the topic of Syria's death, and refuses to talk about it.

Ω Family

haku pines [father]: Teresa used to have a rocky relationship with her father, particularily during her younger years. Although her father did not know how to connect with her, their relationship slowly repaired itself when Alani entered the family, bringing in practice of the Hawaii ideas of forgiveness.

alani pines [mother]: Ever since Alani became Teresa's stepmother, she has enjoyed her company immensely. She admires her step-mother, not only as a mother but as an artist. She considered Alani her real mother and wishes to follow in her footsteps.

ash pines [adopted brother]: She has a very relaxed relationship with her brother, and she knows that they both enjoy each other's company. They spend alot of time together, and Teresa is very protective over him.

nemesis [mother]: She has a very difficult relationship with her true mother. She dislikes her ideals and her attitude, and does not like to talk to her. They have only talked one, and Teresa has kept that interaction to herself to this day.

syria [satyr, assumed deceased]: Her best friend but considered family, they've been friends ever since Teresa was in middle school. Ever since her death, Teresa does not like to talk about her.
